From Your Shopping List

  • 200g minced beef
  • 1 clove of garlic, peeled and minced
  • 1 small white onion, peeled and finely chopped
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 jar curry sauce
  • 200g mixed frozen vegetables
  • 1 packet quick cook Pilau rice

Household Staples

  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Method

  1. Mix the minced beef, the garlic, the onion and the egg yolk together and roll into medium sized meat balls.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil in a large frying pan, add the meatballs and cook for 5 minutes until starting to turn golden.
  3. Meanwhile, heat the curry sauce in a medium sized saucepan.
  4. Add the meatballs and the frozen vegetables to the curry sauce, bring back up to a simmer and cook gently for 20 minutes.
  5. Cook the rice for the length of time indicated on the pack, and serve with the meatball curry.
Serving Suggestion: Serve with some warmed naan bread.
