Heat 1 tbsp oil in a heavy saucepan with a lid, and brown the beef in the pan for about 5 minutes. You may want to do this in two batches, removing the meat from the pan when browned.
Add 1 tbsp oil to the empty saucepan and add the onion and cook at a medium heat for 5 minutes until starting to turn golden.
Then add the minced garlic and cook for a further 2 minutes.
Return the beef to the saucepan.
Dissolve the stock cube in the boiling water and add to the pan. Add the gravy granules to thicken the sauce followed by the Worcestershire sauce, if using.
Add the frozen vegetables, bring up to the boil and cook for the time indicated on the packet.
Give the stew a stir, add the lemon juice if using and check for seasoning.
Serving Suggestion: Serve with creamy mashed potatoes or flat noodles.
BEST SERVED WITH AN ICE COLD COCA-COLA ZERO SUGAR!
Allergen info: Mixed frozen vegetables may contain celery, if so, not suitable for someone with a celery allergy. Worcestershire sauce contains fish, so not suitable for someone with a fish allergy.
